Here are some quick fixes that will help you stop smoking altogether.&lt;/span&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; 1. Start exercising. Exercising takes your mind off smoking and helps to keep you healthy and alert. When you exercise, your body will perspire and flush out those toxins that have accumulated in your body over the years. some people smoke because they feel that they have nothing to do. Exercising will be a good alternative. Some of us will also experience an increase in appetite once we stop smoking, so we tend to eat more. Exercise helps to keep your weight in control.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; 2. Brushing your teeth before you sleep. If you have the habit of smoking before you go to bed, try brushing your teeth before you retire for the night. It works for me. You will not feel the urge to smoke after that because you feel that there is a 'need' to keep your mouth clean and fresh. Or it could be partly due to the mint toothpaste that has the same cooling effect as the menthol in cigarettes.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; 3. Avoid situations that will trigger your smoking mind. If you have friends who smoke, avoid them until you feel that you can resist the temptation when they offer you a stick. Or if you lunch together with your colleagues who smoke, avoid hanging out with them after lunch. If possible, persuade your buddies to quit together. If you have a habit of smoking at certain places, avoid visiting them for now especially pubs.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; 4. Reminding yourself first thing when you wake up &amp;amp; last thing before you sleep. You can say things like 'Today is a brand new day &amp;amp; I am not going to spoil it with a smoke' or 'Tomorrow shall be the best day ever because I will not touch a stick'. Reward yourself. Buy yourself a new gadget. Treat your friends to a nice dinner. Splurge on new clothes. Remember, you are spending money that would otherwise be spent on burning useless cigarettes. Know and monitor the right weight for your age. Consult your doctor to learn what food you should avoid and follow your eating discipline routines. If you are trying to lose some weight, foods with high calories should be omitted from your meals. Food with high fiber and low fat should be included a priority in your grocery list instead of red meat, sugars and fats.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; 2.Drink plenty of water. Drinking at least eight glasses of water everyday. This cleanses the body from impurities. It is also advised for lactating women to increase water intake to keep the body hydrated.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; 3.Take Vitamins and Supplements. Fasting for health is fine, but fasting for weight loss is not such a great idea, for several reasons.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; Fasting for weight loss doesn't work as well as you'd hope. To begin with, many people don't realize that a large percentage of their daily water intake comes from solid foods, not liquids. (For example, an apple is 80% water by volume.) When you fast, by definition, you're eating little or no solid food. You can try to drink more water to compensate, but how do you really know how much more you need to drink?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; You can probably see where this is going. If you're consuming less water, the first type of weight you'll lose during your fast... is water weight. And guess what happens when the fast ends? That water weight comes right back.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; Even if you get your water intake right, you are fighting your body's natural inclinations if you fast for weight loss. Fasting causes the body's metabolism to slow down. The slower your metabolism, the harder it is to actually burn fat (or any calories you consume, for that matter). So while it's true that you can't really gain weight during a fast, it's pretty hard to lose it and keep it off, too.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; Fasting for health is perfectly fine. But if your goal is weight loss, consider calorie shifting instead of fasting. Calorie shifting (sometimes called calorie cycling) is a unique dieting technique that varies the content and size of your meals in a manner that maximizes your metabolism. It is normally used before surgery (to shrink the tumour) or after surgery (to reduce this risk of the cancer coming back). However, it may also be used as an alternative to surgery when the tumour is small enough.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; &lt;b&gt;3) HORMONE THERAPY:&lt;/b&gt;- Certain breast cancers are sensitive to the female hormones oestrogen and progesterone. Your doctor will be able to perform tests to see how these hormones affect the tumour. Based on these tests they may then recommend hormone therapy. This involves preventing oestrogen or progesterone from reaching the cancer cells either by using drugs or via surgery which stops the ovaries from producing these hormones.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt; Whilst breast cancer is not a condition that anyone would desire contracting this disease is not the end of the world.
